Our Story

The Christian Church began with the conviction that in the mind and intention of Jesus Christ, his church should be one. Unity based upon devotion to Christ remains our conviction. One will find individuals from diverse backgrounds and denominations worshiping, serving, and being served together within our community. The world is too strong for a divided church.

Pendleton Christian Church, founded in 1893, began with but a handful of people who believed in the idea of one church with the New Testament as it's primary guide for faith and practice. Located for the majority of it's life at the intersection of High and Main streets, Pendleton Christian has faithfully served her Lord and community for generations. In the early 1980's, the church relocated to it's current home. Here we look with wonder upon what God has done through us in the past, and walk in hope toward what God will do with us in the future.

Inspired by the story of the paralytic in the gospel of Mark, the people of PCC will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to connect people to people, people to Jesus and bring hope to the world.

Some men came, bringing to him a paralytic, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on. Mark 2:3-4.
